CTLT Dialogues

The Blog of the Center for Teaching & Learning with Technology

The Center for Teaching and Learning with Technology offers a variety of resources for faculty members to use in learning about how to use the information technology and systems available for them. These systems include our course management system, Webcampus (based on Blackboard), and Webmail, for e-mail service through MS Outlook or any Web browser.

To assist faculty members, we have created a series of short streaming-video tutorials for both Webcampus and Webmail.

You can find CTLT’s Webcampus tutorials here: http://ctlt.fdu.edu/videotutorials.html.

All faculty members are expected to create Emergency Continuation of Instruction Plans for each course that they teach, every semester.  These plans will ensure that you will be able to continue teaching your class, even if an emergency closes the campus. CTLT has created a Faculty Quick Start Guide to help you prepare:

You can find information about FDU’s Webmail services (including instructions on creating accounts) and CTLT’s video tutorials here: http://ctlt.fdu.edu/webmailinfo.htm.
