Posted by Cathy Kelley on October 18, 2007

The article linked below describes how podcasting was used in an engineering class at the University of Virginia. It also explains why video podcasting makes a lot of sense in visually intensive disciplines like engineering and the sciences, and provides some data demonstrating impact.

Briefly, Berger finds that students enthusiastically embraced the podcast content. Furthermore, weaker students felt that they derived more benefit from the podcasts than stronger students did. In particular, a series of video problem solutions were very well-received.
